Colette Loire (コレット・ロワール) is an Earth Mage a graduate of Regarden Magical Academy. She is Will Serfort's closest friend at Regarden. She joins the Earth Faction.
Appearance[]
Colette has orange colored bobbed hair and eyes of the same color. She wears her uniform consisting of a light colored top, a dark colored skirt, a student robe, and a bolo tie. When she went shopping with Will and Rosti she wore a frilly shirt, a long skirt, and had most of her hair tied up in a bun on the back of her head with a ribbon. She also carried a small bag.
During her first year in the academy (Light Novel), her appearance is drastically different as she looks disheveled and had emotionless dead eyes.
Personality[]
Colette is kind and friendly toward Will even though he can't use magic, disliking it when people make fun of him such as standing up to Sion and his pals when they made fun of him. She is shown to help him when he needs assistance with her using her spellwork. She is shown to have feelings for Will and considers Rosti to be dangerous and a rival. Due to being around Will, she knows what it's like to be at rock bottom and still persevere. She is also shown to be imaginative, imagining that Will's remedial lesson alone with Edward might involve the former being whipped by the latter.
During her first year, she was in despair and suicidal, coming to the dungeon so she could die in peace.
History[]
Colette was born to House Loire, a noble family which fell from grace. 5 years ago when she was a first year at Regarden a "certain incident" caused her to become "friends" with Will. According to herself, she and Will used to hug each other all the time up until 4 years ago, though she now considers that to be something she wants to forget out of embarrassment.

Colette is a talented Earth Mage, being one of fifty students in her year to graduate to the rank of High mage. Her main weakness is with precise magical control.

血統地伝 ・巨剣の斬骸 Rowāru Shīku: Arujiorasu): Colette creates blades from the ground that can be used normally or thrown at targets. In its first appearance she was shown creating ten blades. - Loire Sique: Golterre: Used by Colette to create a huge sword made of rock for Will to use.

Golem Summoning (ゴーレム召喚): Colette is stated to be able to summon golems, though it's unknown if it's part of her seek magic or not.
